Ismael Navarro”Smaily”.
Empecé con la aerografía en el año 1994, de forma autodidacta, copiando ilustraciones de libros, probando técnicas y materiales.. Siguiendo a pintores de EEUU e Inglaterra que veía en revistas custom, y buscándome la vida con candys, flakes y pinturas especiales para meterme en el mundo del custom paint pintando sobre todo cascos y motos.
Los últimos años me especialicé más en la técnica del pinstriping, por la dificultad técnica y por atraerme su aparente sencillez.
Hi, i am Ismael Navarro “Smaily”, from Spain.
I started in the work of custom paint in 1994, first airbrush, then techniques of custom paint (candys, metalflake, gold leaf), and Pinstriping. I like the perfection, clean lines, composition. I love new designs, beautiful mixing of lines and colours, and original supports. I use all my products of Custom Creative (spanish fabrication and development).
The person I lok up to the most is my father, artist and illustrator, with amazing hands. At this moment, I like many artists, it is easy to see great works in the world… Twocs Itthipong, Massimo Palmieri, Todd Hanson, Beth Kearney, Nefarius… Sorry, many more artists…
The only way for good work: practice, practice, and more practice. Look at the work of big masters, training the clean lines, after symmetry, after personal style.
